Dr. Faizi’s expertise includes malingering, violence risk assessments, sanity, competency to stand trial, and substance use disorders. She has broad clinical experience in correctional facilities, state hospitals, psychiatric emergency rooms, inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, and private psychiatric practice. In addition to her forensic and clinical work, Dr. Faizi is currently in a leadership role in the development and implementation of community-based mental health diversion programs. Dr. Faizi is also involved in the interplay of legislation and policy advocacy at different levels of government.

Having completed her undergraduate degree at the University of California, Riverside, Dr. Faizi attended Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine where she received her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Faizi’s residency training was done at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, earning the title of Chief Resident her last year. Dr. Faizi then completed her forensic psychiatry fellowship training at the University of California, Davis and is now certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Psychiatry with added qualification in Forensic Psychiatry.
