Jorien Campbell, MD

Dr. Jorien Campbell graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She completed her residency in Psychiatry at the University of California, San Francisco. She completed her subspecialty fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Stanford University School of Medicine and her subspecialty fellowship training in Forensic Psychiatry at the University of California, Davis. She is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Psychiatry with Certification in the Subspecialty of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Dr. Campbell is broadly trained and experienced in the psychiatric assessment of adults and children. She has provided various levels of psychiatric care including in the areas of emergency, correctional, inpatient, and outpatient psychiatry. She currently provides outpatient psychiatric services at the Bay Area Clinical Associates (BACA) clinic in Berkeley and also works part-time at the Marin County Crisis Stabilization Unit.

Dr. Campbell is a member of the American Psychiatric Association (APA), the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law (AAPL). In 2019, she was awarded the Resnick Scholar Award by the Midwest Chapter of the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law. She currently serves on APA’s Council on Psychiatry and Law.

Dr. Campbell has performed numerous forensic psychiatric evaluations and has been qualified as an expert in the field of psychiatry in adult and juvenile courts in California. Her areas of interest include juvenile and adult civil and criminal competency assessments, violence and suicide risk assessments, malpractice, psychiatric injury, child sexual abuse allegations and diagnostic evaluations in school consultation.

Dr. Campbell has been an independent contractor to fpamed since 2020.
