Catherine Marreiro, PhD

Dr. Catherine Marreiro earned her master’s degree and PhD in Clinical Psychology from Arizona State University.  Dr. Marreiro completed an APA approved pre-doctoral internship in Clinical Neuropsychology at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center in Chicago, IL and her two-year postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology within the Alzheimer’s Disease Center at the University of California, Davis. She is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist by the American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology/American Board of Professional Psychology. She has been licensed as a psychologist in California since 2014.

Dr. Marreiro is the Director of Neuropsychology at the Ray Dolby Brain Health Center (RDBHC) at California Pacific Medical Center. Within the RDBHC, she has also served as a supervisor and mentor for practicum, internship, and post-doctoral trainees and remains actively involved in research through her role as Sub-Investigator for clinical drug trials targeting Alzheimer’s disease. Her clinical work focuses areas of dementias, movement disorders, stroke, head injury, and other neurological disorders. Dr. Marreiro conducts neuropsychological evaluations in clinical and forensic areas. She has qualified as an expert in civil cases involving neurological disorders and mental capacity.

She serves as Chair for California Psychology Association Division VIII (Neuropsychology) and forensic slate member of the board of directors for the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology. She previously served as the 2023 president for the Northern California Neuropsychology Forum and board member for the San Francisco Neurological Society. She received the 2024 Distinguished Contribution to Psychology Award from the California Psychological Association and the 2025 Jerry Sweet Leadership Award from the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology.

Dr. Marreiro has been an independent contractor to fpamed since 2025.
