Dr. Amanda Mossman Steiner graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She received her Masters and PhD from the University of California, Santa Barbara, in Counseling/Clinical/School Psychology, focused on neuropsychological assessment and intervention for children with autism. Dr. Steiner completed her pre-doctoral internship at the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine, in the Developmental Disabilities Track, with a continued emphasis on neuropsychology and autism. Subsequently, she received her post-doctoral training at the Yale School of Medicine – Child Study Center, with a specialty in developmental disabilities and assessment and interventions with young children. Dr. Steiner is a licensed clinical psychologist and board certified behavior analyst.

Dr. Steiner has extensive training in neuropsychological assessment, particularly in children and adolescents. She is currently the Training Director of the Neurodevelopmental Assessment Clinic at the Autism Center of Northern California (ACNC) in San Francisco. Additionally, in the Department of Public Health at the University of California Davis Medical Investigation of Neurodevelopmental Disorders (MIND) Institute, she works on multiple research grants, conducting neuropsychological and developmental assessments with study participants. She also has a private practice in El Dorado Hills.

In addition to her broader experience in neurodevelopmental assessment, Dr. Steiner has published numerous scientific articles and book chapters related to assessment and intervention for children with autism.

Dr. Steiner has been an independent contractor to fpamed since 2024.
